A close neighbour to one of the most popular towns of Karnataka, Udupi, Malpe beach offers a perfect platform for fishing enthusiasts. The formidable black rocks rising their heads all around the sandy dais fills the on- lookers with awe and surprise. The palm trees dancing with the stroke of the blowing wind with the background of a dazzling blue sky is enough to attract tourists from all parts of the country.

Reasonably chaste and not much explored, Maravanthe is a beach destination situated at about 50 kms from Udupi. Set against the rocky scrim of the towering Kodachadri Hills and in close proximity of the Arabian Sea, Maravanthe is a ideal destination for different water sports. Murudeshwara beach, located 16 km from Bhatkal, shares its glory with the famous Murudeshwara Temple. Enriched with the coconut and areca trees all over the sand, this beach is covered with blue sea on its west and the wavy hills on its east. This beach has a dual significance as it invites worshipers and vacationers alike. The earlier is interested in the temple and the great Shiva statue and the later flocks to the beach sand to have a good time with the surf.
